Arkansas Valley Women's Expo
I am super late posting about this event, but better late than never! At the end of September, I participated in the Arkansas Valley Women's Expo in La Junta, Colorado. It was a wonderful place for women in the community to gather, network, and support one another.
The guest speakers were wise, strong, passionate, and influential women in our community. It was great to see women with various knowledge and talents all coming together to encourage and inform one another. The event had booths from different vendors and small businesses owned by women. There were also organizations that brought attention to certain issues in the community and direct resources for women that can be easily accessed. It was fun for everyone to walk around to the different booths and be able to shop and learn from each booth.
This event was my first experience setting up and running my own booth. I loved the entire experience. It was an amazing opportunity to create a booth and showcase my work. I showcased a bit of everything I make, so it was interesting to see what people were drawn to. I love the way my booth looked and I am just happy that I took the opportunity to learn something new! There were so many people that were very supportive and enjoyed my work which was very positive for me. I definitely want to participate in events like this in the future! It was an amazing learning experience.
I hope that I was able to inspire other women in the Colorado community to embrace their creative side or to pursue something they are passionate about.
